Week Eight

This week we began writing our broadcast program script. This is a twenty one minute program called Good Morning Gold Coast. Inspired by morning/breakfast news, we stayed in the local Gold Coast region for our stories.

The story order plan is:

Jade Madeley – Lack of perinatal support for maternal mothers

Olivia Gordon – Young man living with autism

Karleigh Pearson – Pink property pooch

Jacob Chicco – Sport

Stephanie – interview with a singer/songwriter

Eloise – Swell festival & weather

Steph – entertainment performance

We need to have our script done by next week because we have a practise run through in the studio. Alysen gives some great examples of different types of scripts (Alysen, 2011). Alysen advices that all scripts should carry basic identification – such as reporter’s names, date and the story slug (Alysen, 2011). We also need to look at getting our individual story packages complete so they are ready to insert into the program.
